Exclamation 5R55N Fill Plug?

Does anyone have a picture of where this plug is on the transmission? Or a picture of the plug? Just want to make sure I remove the correct plug this afternoon.

Thanks in Advance....

It's on the BACK (REAR) of the gearbox next to the propshaft output.
The writing on the rear cover says something like "check level between 30 and 50 degrees C".

It is the only 8mm plug on the back of the box.

The level plug is the 5mm or TORX (depending on if/when it was replaced) in the bottom of the pan.

The LARGE hex is held while the small plug is removed.

The whole thing can be removed to DRAIN the gearbox or get the small plug out if the 'locktite' won't budge.

I keep a spare in case the 5mm plug strips and won't come out.

This is what I use to fill transmissions, transfer boxes and differentials on various cars. They are always hard to reach but a garden sprayer, with the atomiser nozzle removed, gives a nice, easy way to do it. Fill with fluid, pressurise the sprayer and then lie down and spray

The second picture shows where the filler plug is:

Please see this.

The black, plastic plug is the drain plug.

The silver, metal plug on the passenger side (US) is the fill plug.

I have xj8, hope this is same trans as your car.

Thanks

Careful I believe what you posted is for the 6 speed ZF and NOT the Ford 5 speed.

Thanks for all the info/pics. I actually used a gear oil pump to fill.
