I hope that this querie is coming to the right area as I'm new to the site and not too good at the navigation.
Hi all,
I'm new to this site and am enquiring for any information that anyone may have regarding the central locking system of my 1999 S-type. It had an intermittent fault where the doors were commanded to unlock which they did only to lock almost immediately. The fault has 'grown' to a point where I can not open the front, left/passenger door at all, it just seems to have given up completely.
I put the car away the other day and when I went back to use it two days later, the battery was completely dead, so something is going on to drain it.
I would be grateful for any information on this problem, particularly helpful would be a diagram of the location of the fuses to see if the 'locked door's has blown.
Thanks in anticipation.

Fuses are shown in the handbook - free as the forum sticky says.
Also, electrical diagrams can be downloaded - for your car I'd go look at Gus's site http://www.gusglikas.com/AutoRepair.htm
Try Search - others have had similar problems. Can be annoyingly difficult to figure out which item is the cause, sadly.
