AC compressor drain plug/best way to drain PAG oil?
Hi there,
I've my compressor on the bench and before pushing on to charge refrigerant, replace dryer etc, etc I just have a quick question that I'm hoping the learned and experienced here might be able to help a dunderhead like me with?
Does the OEM compressor, S-Type 2003 2.5, have a drain plug or is it just a case of draining old PAG via high/low ports while cycling the compressor? I'm wanting to measure out what's in there before moving on.
Any help from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks - Steve
Ps. I've had to re-register my account due to lack of use so I appear as a new user, which isn't that case ;-)

Now solved!
After looking again, I noticed there is a drain screw on the 'front' of the compressor, towards the bottom of the unit when in situ, behind the pulley/clutch wheel on the casing. It's exactly the same size as all the others running around the 'front' casing, which is why I missed it first time around.
I'll try to put an image up for to make clearer for others.
