Default Adding AUX port to 2003 S type R stereo

Hi I have the premium sound and Nav in my car. There's a lot of confusing info out there on this subject. All I want to do is be able to listen to tunes from my iPhone. A member called Gopi Hira has a long post with pics here in this forum
Showing a hack through the cd changer, but the instructions say they are for X-series. What about my S type?

Any help appreciated.

Or buy a Jaguar ACM.

Bear in mind the iPhone 7 (or indeed any iPhone) simply did not exist when your car was designed so guessing what Apple might do many years later wasn't possible.

Yes the CD changer hack will work on the Nav s type ,
The same alpine d2b sterio and components bar the subs were used in the x type , s type and xj series jags during the same model years .

But +1 on the Bluetooth veffbox , it's brilliant . And simple to install !

I put a Parrok MKi9200 in mine. Simplest installation ever... It will bluetooth to any phone, takes multiple hardwire inputs but also has the facility for an SD card. I have one installed with 10,000+ songs on it!
Added bonus, I have handsfree phone as well

i think its great you are happy with your parrot . and they sure are a clever kit .
with cool features . and of course will do what the OP is asking to just play music from his phone >
but there are a few things to point out for any one who stumbles across this thread , then rushes out to buy the parrot for it's cool features . to find there are stick on components (the screen and remote) that i find unsightly
just sprooled across an otherwise beautiful dash board .

but the biggest problem is the parrot amplifier is a major down grade to the alpine d2b amp at only 20watts RMS and only two channel . so 10watts per channel . then if you splice it to four channel it like 5watts per channel . it will struggle to power the four factory speakers. and if you have upgraded speakers like i do the sound will be laughable !
and most defiantly won't power the premium subwoofer package . so its best just for phone calls not music streaming .

were the veffbox and the aux mod to the CD shuttle both use the factory amp and will sound as good if not better than if you put a cd in .
the big plus with the veffbox is it retains the touch screen and steering wheel controls for skip / rewind / volume / pause / play and is digital quality sound . cool little box .

Get Venelin's Bluetooth device. You will not regret it for a second. Sounds great, steering wheel controls work and he stands behind his work. I had an early model that needed a repair, no problem. I love this thing. I use Spotify exclusively. I have a Parrot Neo for the phone, but I am dissatisfied with it. Will be getting a Freeway soon.
