My coolant over flow bottle has been leaking for a little while now and I have been reading that this is a common problem for the S-type. I don't know if it is the same for other models or if the bottle from other models will work on my car.

Does anyone have a solution? I don't want to get another Jaguar one if this is common.

I was at a car show this weekend and found a company that will make a cool track style all aluminum bottle for the car, but he said that I would need to get 10 other people that would want one. I'm not wanting to wait or do the work to find people.

There really isn't an aftermarket solution. That doesn't mean one can't be made but the stock coolant bottle on mine lasted almost 10 years before it went.

That is just the thing. I'm designing a ram air intake for the s-type that might take the place of the high beam portion of the headlight housing and the air box would start behind the grill and wrap up an over the radiator and support. So the bottle is in the way. I need someone to tell me how I can relocate a bottle to where the original air box was on the driver side of the engine bay.

 

Am I missing something here, a great big empty space under the windscreeen on these cars and lots of high pressure cool air, could you not fabricate something that draws air from there rather than something in a hot engine bay. However if I were looking again maybe the Porsche 944. Oops wrong side but that fits low profile on the inner wing. Best go to a wreckers yard and see what's available, I've seen. Something that's on that side but can't think what it was.
