Default Airbag is good but there is "bad airbag" code.

Airbag light blinks code 22, bad driver side airbag.
I took seat apart, airbag is good, never deployed.
Any ideas?
thanks.
I checked airbag resistance according to youtube video, it is good, 2.2 Ohms.
(Manufacturers forbid airbag resistance check, it can possibly blow)
What do I have to remove to reach airbag module? Where is it? Is it under radio or behind it?

Default side airbag

The side drivers airbag is in the car drivers seat , you have to open the back of the seat ( is with clips) ,then open the foam and you can reach it. There are two nuts 10 mm and a connector there. The module is inside a cloth bag, to the left side. Now if you want to found the RCM,this is in the center of the car under the astray. If you want to go there, you have to take out the audio unit, move hard to the back ,the AC black pipe under the center console, to be possible to take out the black shrivel and then you have 3 nuts and two connectors.

Unless you have the airbag simulator to run the tests you will need to follow all the wires to the air bag and module to check if they are good or not. Not easy because you need to remove the seat covers to get at everything. Could be connectors or wires or bad module or bad airbag.

The seats flex and wire damage has been reported before.

This looks like a dealer repair to me. If you can get the air bag module for cheap on EBay maybe change that if you want to just start changing parts. Not great but it's the dealer otherwise.

This is pretty deep. Do you have the JTIS?

One outside shot. How old is the battery and how long have you had the code?
Has the car ever been wrecked?

I have replaced 2 front blown airbags and all 5 blown belts (3 rear belts and 2 front buckles).
I removed side airbag from driver seat, it was fine. I checked its resistance according to youtube video (manufacturers forbid doing it), it was fine.
Code 22 is intermittent, so most likely there is wire damage somewhere.
Maybe it is a good idea to get airbag module from junk yard before somebody else gets it. There is only one 03 S-type at local "you pull"
I got 2 front airbags and 5 belts for $100!!!! That is dirt cheap! $15 radio!!!
Somebody got its transmission for $125!

Once the airbags DEPLOY it is usually the practice to replace the SRS module. I don't remember if the module can be used for more than one deployment. Some are listed for multiple deployments but I don't remember which ones or how many times.

I used to have that info when I worked at the dealer. Do a search for the correct info on your model.

The way to measure is through the SRS module with WDS, IDS etc. using DATALOGGER.
I also have a set of 'dummie' airbag simulator 'plug-ins' with the correct connectors and 2.2 or 2.1 ohm resistors attached.

The resistor connectors can be used at various points along the harness to find breaks/shorts in the wiring. I can unplug an airbag and use an ohm meter with the airbag simulator to check the harness without worry of deployment.

You can also use it in place of an airbag and 'exercise' connectors and wire harnesses to watch for shorts/opens (ie. move the seat back and forth, up and down).

Be aware that the connectors on SRS harnesses have 'shorting-bars' so you have a short circuit when a component is unplugged. (safety)
