aircon pully change
#3
You can change the magnetic clutch but I don't know what a dry pulley sounds like??
Bearings will make a noise but you change that with the clutch so I would not change anything until I was sure.
Have you removed the belt to verify where the noise is coming from??
Have you chnaged the belt as that is always a good first step.

Hi
I have had the belt off and rotating the pully sounds a little noisy I think I could remove the circlip but there is no room for a bearing pully to pull of the pully. The JTIS states that the pully should br a slip fit? I hoped someone has carried this out before and could tell me it is possible

Hi all
After some further investigations I have found that the clutch coil is overheating (ie drawing overcurrent) this has damaged the bearing seals the neoprene seal has disintergrated and turned brittle. this also has destryed the clutch plate torque rubbers. Although the clutch is still operating it is overheating, I suspect short circuit turns in the clutch coil
So its a new complete clutch and coil if available or a new compressor complete.
So is it possible to purchase a new clutch and replace in situ
