I just want a standard diesel clutch kit so it's cheap to replace in future and iv seen a few on here that seem to have had them made to use the diesel clutch and not had issues.
I'm tempted to bite the bullet for 1500 but to me thats expensive haha i only paid 525 for the engine and box. Got to buy a standalone ecu and make an engine loom for the car which will cost that sort of money anyway just trying to keep costs down and 1500 seems expensive. I could be wrong.

You could contact Tom Lenthall ltd. I got mine from them for £595 a few years ago. It uses a standard off the shelf mustang/camaro clutch setup.

I'm guessing the splines for the clutch kit as the same then.

Back in 2018 time frame, I was interested in installing a manual trans in one of my STRs. I researched the topic and even 3-D modeled a flywheel that I though would work with a TR6060 manual transmission, and Chevy clutch. The laptop I used back then died, and I never tried to recover many lost files. (I hope they were backed up somewhere, but I never looked.) I carefully cut apart a flex plate to get the starter ring and timing plate. I look at the timing ring almost every day sitting on the top of the stairs heading down to the garage. (another abandoned project...)
One of the concerns I had, and that Count Iblis had explained somewhere is that the mass of the flywheel is actually important. Our 4.2L V8 crankshafts are not fully counter balanced, so there are various harmonics that need to be understood. You don't want a flywheel/clutch assy. that is too light or too heavy. (I tried to make mine weight about the same as the flex plate and torque converter. )
It appears that the few manual conversion out there have held up ok, so perhaps the overall weight of the flywheel and clutch isn't that important, or they are playing with a ticking time bomb..
If you really are motivated, to do a manual conversion, designing a flywheel and having it fabricated is a strait forward project. No rocket since involved, Just a few key hole patterns.
Flywheel blanks can be purchased under $200, and a good shop with a CNC lathe or 6 axis CNC mill can make it in about 6 hours. The quote I have for mine 4 years ago was around $600 for the machining. in 2018 all the parts would have cost under $1500. (Who know with today's prices, $2K USD?)(My plan was to handle up to 600hp)

I am going to manual swap my 2000 XKR and am planning to machine a custom flywheel to suit the S-Type six speed I have. I am modelling a 3D design of the flywheel and plan on making it free for everyone to access once complete. I have not started the disassembly process yet and won't untill I have all the parts I need. I was wondering if anyone has a spare x100 flex plate that they could help me with some accurate dimensions? Please see the attached image of the dimensions I need and the beginnings of the flywheel design.
