All buttons on Keyless Remote not working

I have recently purchased a 2006 S Type 3.0. All of the buttons on the remote function perfectly...BUT the UNlock button. The Lock, Panic, Trunk all work flawlessly. I've replaced the battery. I've removed the circuit board and cleaned contact and rubber piece with denatured alcohol.
I have been unable to find programming instructions to attempt to re-program the remote. I've found several, but none have allowed the car to enter the program mode.
Any suggestions and help would be appreciated. btw...I only have 1 flip out key with the remote built into the key fob.
Thanks,
Keith

I was afraid that was going to be the answer but I was hoping anyway.
Thanks again.

If just one switch is not working, chances are the problem is a defective switch. You can buy them on ebay: 3X New Switch Click Button Repair Remote Key Fob Jaguar s Type XJ8 XJR XJ XK S | eBay
You can DIY if you have soldering skill, otherwise take it to a local electronics repair shop.

Those were great links Rick and White...thanks again. I've ordered the replacement microswitch...for $8.99 shipped. That's a very reasonable gamble. I don't have the soldering kit, but my local technician does.
Very helpful group here....and nice fast responses. Allows me to move on to the next item on my 'to do' list.

As an update, my microswitch arrived in the mail yesterday and I took the remote to a local radio shop where they soldered it into place.
Works like new. I've used the radio shop for years, and the manager wouldn't even charge me for the repair!
Oh...another good point was the company linked above that sold me the switch, actually tossed in a couple of extra switches, no charge, just in case one got screwed up during the soldering.
So thanks to this forum, and a long term business relationship with the radio shop, my remote repair cost less than US$10.
Thanks everyone.

Once the microswitches get flaky, they eventually quit functioning no matter how much cleaning you do. I had to replace the lock and unlock microswitches in my S-Type remote fob last summer. That restored full functionality, but I still have to take my fob apart and clean the circuit board and contacts every six months or so in order to keep it working. I sweat a lot when I'm outside hiking or working and if the keys are in my pocket, they get damp as well. That moisture eventually works its way into the fob and contaminates the innards....
