Default All good things come to an end...

I sold my STR to a collector. I really enjoyed the Jag and only wished I had enough room to keep it and drive it rarely. As it was I only drove the car when the sun shone and never in the winter or even rain for that matter. The car was near perfect when a collector made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Been nice hangin' with ya...

Searanch, that STR got to be one of the best looking and best shape specimen I've seen. Hang around and be a forum moderator?

That really is a beautiful car, Searanch. Hope you don't go, would be very sorry to lose you.

Enjoyed every single one of your postings, and thank you for the info chart on S-type wheel alignment a few months ago. Didn't the collector want the leaping cat?

I would be shattered if i had to part with mine, even after 4+ years. I get too bonded to my cars and cant part with them......
Not much out there that could satify me to change. Sure there are things with more power, more pose value (and more price!).
I envy the new owner, that was one great looking car Searanch. Graet photos. It looks teriffic in white.
You could look at a current shape XKR....they are great value in the US (and Canada). There is also a Triumph Stag...but thats a biased opinion lol.

That is one super clean looking car. Is canada not allowed to have the leaping hood ornament?

Wasn't that STR rear-ended a couple of years ago requiring close to $20,000 in repairs?

I well remember Searanch explaining, in a post some time ago, how and why he replaced the leaper. Here's the words:

In case I didn't mention it in the below liinked thread "I loathe that Leaper" and don't miss it one bit. When I picked up my STR in Dallas to drive back to Canada I developed a complete disdain for the Leaper's butt I had to follow 2250mi.

Uhh... IMMACULATE!!! How much mileage was on that baby? Worthy of a 'collectors' purchase indeed!
