AM radio tunes in increments of 9?! Help!
Info: 2003 S-Type R with nav package (touch-screen controlled audio)
This is really bugging me. I can't get to any of the radio stations I would normally want to get (except 630, IIRC, but I don't listen to that station). Primary local sports and talk radio stations are 760 and 1200, but it won't catch either on the mark and seems to scan in increments of 9. Manual adjustment as well. For 760, for instance, I can't get anything close, either 756 or 765, neither of which are close enough--and of course neither is correct.
Help me Obi Wan Jaguarforums. You're my only hope! WTF is going on here?? How do I fix it?

sounds like the radio head unit is set up in the wrong market
try setting the language to US english (factory default is UK english)....if that does not help do this..
Hold the am/fm and the eject buttons for about 5 seconds then set the market to US(or wherever u might be)
hope this helps

Awesome, thanks! I'll give that a shot. I'm pretty sure it's already set to US English, but this is the first I've heard about that button combo.
I'm on the east coast for business this week, but believe me I'm going to try that as soon as I get home.
Here's hoping for the best!
EDIT: Now I wonder wtf that extra set of radio stuff is. Long wave? Is that UK-only or something?

Language was indeed set to English (US). When I press AM/FM and the Eject button (for the in-dash CD) together, there's a screen that comes up that looks basically like this:
RDS/RBDS: [ ON ] [ OFF ]
FM Volume: [ HIGH ] [ LOW ]
Nothing about region or market. I tried changing the RDS setting to Off (it was on, but I don't know what that means), but nothing's changed. I tried holding the buttons down for over 15 seconds before giving up on that, because no other screen ever came up.
I feel like I'm so close! Any ideas?
