Hey Jag Guys,

4.2L s/c
Okay I've had just about every issue with my a/c system that has been listed on this forum. From having to restart my car due to the a/c blowing hot air to recently only cool air coming from my interior driver side vent with the other blowing hot air. I've been researching the a/c for a few weeks, but before i could find and answer this weekend it finally died. My wife was driving the car and she said the a/c complete out and the engine light came one. I met her at the salon exchanged vechiles. The car seems to operate with out any issues other than the a/c is out. As I drove the car away an error message came on stating "communciation error take to dealer". I decided to take it down to my local auto parts store they could look up the code issues. They gave me two codes p1111 (non issue) and p1699. According to the DTC on the Jaguar website this is the info listed for 1699:
Can anyone tell me if my logic makes sense or am I barking up the wrong tree? Also if you can point me in the right direction on where I can gthe a/ccm repaired or replaced, because I really haven't found much on line. The local dealer here in San Antonio is awful and I would perfer to try to avoid having to go through them.
In advance, thank you for your help!!
Regards,
Frank
