Another rims and tire thread!!!!!

Hey fellow Jag
First happy holidays, Xmas-season is here an new years is right around the corner. My baby need some new shoes she out grown her 235/50/17 and she looking for some 20in. I've been searching spec on the on stock rim so i can't figure out what option i have in pick and so far i came up with bolt patter 5x108, (this part is really throw me off) offset i got all sort of number 40/42/50/60 i dont know what my offset is for my 04 jag s type.
. also i don't know what it mean 20x7.5. im only guess 20 inch is the height and 7.5 is width. moving on these are the rims im looking to buy . 20x7 5 Black Ice Mayhem 5x108 5x4 25 40mm Black w Chrome Wheels Rims inch 20" | eBay i want to be able not have any rubbing issues at all. can someone please let me know if these are going to fit. w/o any issues thank you

Yup, Another rim and tire thread. You should search the forum for tire size and offsets. There is a lot already posted.
In considering rim size, you need to consider that all of the S-types are designed to have roughly a 25.7" tire diameter. As you increase rim size, the profile of the tire has to decrease in order to match the tire size. On 20" rims, you will have to run, at most, a 30 profile tire. but more likely have to go with 25 profile.
Remember that the lower the tire sidewall profile the stiffer the tire and roadfeel feedback, plus you have to be more and more careful that you don't hit pot holes or curbs because it becomes really easy to damage the rim.
From my perspective, going with 20 inch rims is too big. To me, 19" fits the car better looks wise. (Other forum member who run 20's can chime in.) Regarding how the car handles, you do need to match the rims, tire size and width to what works best with the car's suspension, otherwise handling can suffer.
