That's what I was told about the Lifguard6 too. It's already in there.

In my case I've only got 40K on the car so I have been looking to add some of this stuff and see how that works. Yesterday I finally found some and it wasn't crazy money so I think I'll order some and give it a try. Hard acceleration shifts into 3rd cause a squawk in my car.

Might even be slightly low on fluid, but you'll find that out in the process.

I would drain all of the old fluid out of the power steering fluid reservoir, refill it with fresh Dexron III, and see if that silences the noise again. I'm guessing fresh fluid all around will keep it quiet for at least a couple of years if not longer. If you still have the car when the noise returns, you can repeat the dosing procedure....

Although my squeak has returned in less than 3 months, the wheel shudder has not. Bought a second bottle and will install soon. Worse comes to worst, it's not a noise I can't live with, especially considering my car is now 11 yrs old.

I wish it were so, Jon! Look back at my original post - only 8 or 9 months! And at that fresh fluid alone didn't do it....took about a week or two of use with the elixir. On the other hand...still not yet a peep from the 05 steering...

Sorry to learn that your fresh fluid combined with a second dose turned out to be nothing more than a temporary fix, Zane. I wonder if there is a better lubricant than what Jaguar is selling us....
