Anyone have Alldata TSB info? Squeaking / chirping drive belt...
Well my GF's 2005 S Type has been a load of trouble. The transmission cooler lines were leaking so they were replaced, then a crack was found in the tranny pan which was also leaking this fluid which is worth it's weight in gold
So I see on alldata there are TSBs for the leaking transmission, chirping drive belts and chrome peeling off the door lock... all things that her car is experiencing. I'm thinking about signing up for a membership but I'm wondering if it's worth it.
These are some I'm looking at right now...
JTB00071 DEC 07 A/T - Harsh Upshifts/Downshifts
JTB000452 SEP 07 Engine - Drive Belt Chirping Noise
JTB00056 AUG 07 A/T - Fluid Leakage
JTB00013 FEB 07 Interior - Door Handle Lock Lever Chrome Peeling
Can anyone assist? Or should I go ahead and sign up for a subscription? I guess I don't mind spending the money if it'll give me some good information that I can take action against.
Thanks!

I am leaning towards getting a subscription whenour 2005 S-Type 3.0 runs out of its factory warranty in mid-July. From what I've seen of Alldata when I was looking at the site a few weeks back, it may be a small price to pay in order to gain access to a ton of information on these cars. For those of us who want to do our own maintenance, information like this is critical and I've been unable to find any other source that is priced so reasonably....

The harsh shift bulletin is just a reflash of software.
The drive belt chirp is a new idler pulley and belt or tensioner on S/C models.
The fluid leakage is for the output seal in the extension housing and only affected a few cars. Certainly nothing to do with a cracked pan.
The door lock chrome is just a $5 plastic cover on the lock button.

Is it the door opening handle that is peeling or just the lock release button? The lock release button is not called out seperately in the picture you have, it just shows the whole handle as an assembly. The bulletin offers just the lock cover seperately from the handle. Handles dont usually peel, just the lock cover. If someone doesn't post part numbers for right and left covers by monday I will post them then.
