Default Anyone have the pinout for the 06 STR data link connector (DLC) FC1.

I was having some trouble communicating to some modules when I was testing out my new scanner. Cause issues with it where it wouldn’t crank but I got that taken care of. I took a look at the data link connector under the steering column and I noticed it’s damaged so I probably have some bad sockets that aren’t making good connection.

I looked through the electrical diagrams in the Jaguar schematics manual and the two or three schematics that listed the data link connector didn’t have all of the signals that I saw on my data link connector. Specifically it was missing
Pin 1- Brown wire goes to the mission key has power when turned off
Pin 11 orange wire
Pin 12 yellow wire
Pin 13 Green wire

i did find the the signals for
pins 2 &10 yel and blue SCP bus
pin 4 Blk gnd
pin 5 Blk gnd
pins 6 & 14 yel and green Can bus
pin 7 white Serial Data bus
pin 16 orange w yel stripe Battery

pins 3, 9, and 15 not used

i bought a new DLC connect and sockets from Mouser for $3 and will replace the connector and sockets when it comes in on friday

some pics

Pins such as 1,11,12,13 are reserved for non-generic use, commonly NC (not connected).

Ford/Jaguar use some of them, varying by car model, e.g. MS CAN, module programming, MOST.

Other car makes do all sorts of things e.g. Which & Where to Buy a Working JLR Mangoose Cable? | OBDII365.com Official Blog
