They were too busy to get the measurements I asked for, but the nipple is a total 15 mm from under the tightening nut to the nipple end.
Versus 20.4 for the ones Norri presented.

I think I still better pull one and measure it.

Thanks so much for all you help.

I have a bit of time yet as I'm doing the ball joint boots all the way around the car for a total of 6 and I'm stalled at the moment on that part.

Mine are indeed 15mm from under the tightening nut just like yours and over all length is 29 mm. The nut portion is 6mm so these replacement ones in the photos above are a bit longer which I don't think is a problem. I didn't measure the tip length as I had to do this one handed with the fitting on my knee while my other hand was holding the caliper in an elevated position to reduce the dribble of brake fluid.

I did I mention it was raining while I did this?

If you knew the weather pattern here for the last week ...

I worked in the drizzling rain again this morning mostly cleaning of old brake dust.

Tomorrow we get overcast, hurray! Then rain and thunderstorms the next day.

What is this ... England?!

Default my first attempt - a disaster.

Well here's how NOT to do this.

I found a rubber plug at Home Depot that was to be for plugging the opening while I switched the cap to the new fitting.

I wanted to transfer these nipples WO losing tons of brake fluid in the process.

Dumb idea because it takes a long time to get that nipple out because of the interference of the rubber strap & cap while turning the nipple. So that lot of brake fluid leaks all over the caliper anyway.

I ended up stripping the paint around the nipple area of the caliper. Fortunately it's on the back side so it won't show terribly. But now I need to touch that up.

Are we having fun yet? NO!

On top of that I dropped the rubber plug in all the hubbub panic caused by the enormous leakage, it bounced, it's small, it's gone ...

My next attempt will be to drain all the fluid from the caliper into the bleed bottle.

The caps do fit the new nipples but it was hard getting the threads started and you do have to put the caps on before you screw them in. It's a PITA design but at least you don't lose caps.

Nothing is going to go smoothly with this. The brake bleeding will be more difficult as a result as well.

BTW the new nipples are indeed about .20 " + longer. That doesn't seem to be a problem though

It's been lovely and sunny the last few days... so, no. Not at the moment (but it can't last).
(Possibly you saw some of the good weather on the pics of a quite high profile wedding.)

Yesterday I bled my brakes as I attempt to wrap up this extended length service job. But I had to halt for the day and prepare for yet more rain ...

But don't order these SS nipples just yet. I seem to be having a problem with leakage not sure just yet. I've been pretty care to remove any brake fluid from around the bleed nipples and then later after all the pedal pushing for resetting the electric emergency brake I observed some more fluid ...

I'm not sure if they're leaking slightly or if residual fluid was in the cap and that's how more got on there?

I need to do more testing.

But today it gets nature's shower.

So my brake job officially finished this morning with the final torque of the front calipers and it seems as those these bleed nipples are OK

Closing them reasonably hard a couple of times made for decent seating and I also think I figured out what they weeped a bit. After bleeding there's still some fluid in the nipple and when you put the silicone cap on the nipple that created a positive pressure which I think forces some of that fluid out of the hole in the tipand back up through the threads. For pretty painted calipers like the Brembos that's something of a PITA.
