Anyone use this pulley for a SC upgrade?
Now that I finally have a commitment from a local Jag service shop to fix my 2005 STR and we have the parts sourced locally from the dealer, I'm thinking of changing the top SC pulley.

It's a high strength steel that's powder.coated so the materials look good. This isn't rocket science and I'll have the techs validate it before it's installed. Heat it up to 400F and slip in on quickly.
Since they'll have the SC off I thought I might as well let them do it.

Every GD hose and gasket is getting replaced. The only thing I'm not replacing is the coolant reservoir tank because I've had 3 of them and everyone of them weeps coolant, nothing serious though. Jag just had crappy tanks made. So why bother?
Car goes to the shop on Mon. or Tue.

That's how I've done similar pulleys and drives on my other cars. It works just fine.My mechanic used to work at Jaguar headquarters in NJ in the service training department before Tata motors bought them out so he knows what he's doing with these cars.

If all goes well in about a week or two. We need to be careful since the car has been sitting for almost 4 years. Once he gets the engine running well he'll get the rotors cleaned up, flush the brake fluid and then I have to order new tires. It's going to run about $7-8 K and a huge chunk of that is parts
Fingers crossed.
