Audio Connectivity Module with Jagdroid

Audio Connectivity Module with Jagdroid
I had fitted the ACM years ago. Lately it seems to work when it wants to and I haven't pulled things apart to see if anything's come loose.
I noticed Dension seem to have a software update download that I will try first as I've never updated the thing; I have no idea how old that update it but it may help.
The ACM is okay but all you can really do is skip one by one forward and back through the tracks on your ipod or USB or just chose one of 5 or 6 playlists on the ipod. Can't see track listings, cant change artists etc etc. Fair tech for the time though I suppose.
The Jagdroid is appealing to me. We do however still have up to date NAV DVD updates available to buy here from TOMTOM. I assume the reason why is because its the same system here as the Toyota Lexus vehicles so there's still the demand for nav DVD's.
I have yet to contact Ben Willcox who makes the Jagdroid but all I would find of use would be the Bluetooth and wifi but I'm not really sure how it all works and if he sells a kit of bits for a DIY.
Anyone buy a kit or have a go at a self installation?

Joe, if you plan to ship your car or emigrate with your car to either Australia or New Zealand then yes you will have an up to date nav (DVD) update for the S, X, and XJ vehicles. Probably will be for the next few years as well I suspect.
It's on 'special' too for only $156 AUD!
Because the Toyota-Lexus (and a couple of other Japanese brands I believe) nav DVD's work in the Jaguar-Land Rover systems here there is reasonable enough demand for (TomTom I believe is the current producer) ongoing manufacture.
I'm tempted to buy the new genuine one that came out this year (Aust version 24/NZ version 13) at that price for the sake of originality but the pirate ones are only a year or so behind...
Jagdroid is a much easier option for you in the UK as Ben Willcox is located there. Did you install the Jagdroid yourself?
