Default auto lights always on?

i honestly dont really pay attention to it that much, but my auto lights dont ever shut off when it is bright out. I really dont care, but has anyone else seen this?

its like the sensor isnt reading the light.

I have to manually shut them off, if i want them off during the day

Same issue here. The sensor may be toast. Sometimes (rarely) it surprises me by working.

GM's have the same style sensor as our jag. Never had a problem with any of the 4 vehicles I've owned with them. I have noticed however that the jag will turn the lights on after just going under an underpass that's heavily guarded from the sun almost instantly but they take a substantially longer time to turn the lights back off. I wonder if this is a sign on my sensor starting to read the light poorly and eventually reach the point yours is at?

Hmm. Never tried my auto lights. Yep the solar sensor is that domed shaped item in the front - center part of the dash. Pretty hard to obstruct it unless you have like your windshield tinted or something, and nobody does that. So it very well may be that the sensor's receptors are shot.

The one on the back of the mirror is the wiper sensor.

Mine dose the same thing. I am interested to see if its better with the new one or just slow reacting sensors. Mine will turn off eventually but starting it in the garage it stays on for quite some time so I use turned the autos off. My wipers do work great though much better then Mercedes auto wipers which are about useless!

My auto sensing wipers are too sensitive to moisture. Is there a way to alter this aside from moving to Arizona?
