Angry Autopartsway - Bad part, Warning DCCV

Just wanted to let ppl know that the DCCV is cheap, and then some. Yes, I learned the hard way. After trying to figure out what the hot / cold issue was, it turned out to be the "new" DCCV valve.

Even with some diagnostic testing of the current.

Spent embarrassingly large amount of dough to put everything back together when I went down the wrong road. The dealer lost the DCCV valve and now even with the Jag Dealer tech notes and a letter offer in writing of the truth that it failed, they refuse to credit me without shipping it back.

The mechanic that put it in should have tested it too.

I should have tested it.

So just a warning to avoid the AUTPOARTSWAY DCCV Dual Climate Control Valve.

The Ford/Motorcraft DCCV part is reasonably priced and known to be of decent quality. As much trouble as these DCCVs cause for folks, I would stick with that and not risk the obscure brands....

To be fair the website lists the Bosch v/v, a Motocraft and a Metrix one I assume you got the Metrix? $336 reduced to $76.77.

Yeah, not that price though, but that's the one. Maybe would have been less painful if I had gotten that price. Nope, probably not.
