Default ball joint nut coming loose

i have a 2002 s type 4 lt. v8. I replaced the lower ball joint assy. and the nut keep coming loose , i tried double nuts , loctite , drilling through the nut and stud and installed a pin and have the same problem .any idea as to why this is happening? Couple of days ago the stud snapped and the wheel was turned almost 90 degrees outward and caused damages to to the fender . Luckily nobody got hurt .

Thanks

Jaguar has had problems with the X200 front lower ball joints since the beginning.
R136 (S204-R136) was issued to address loose bolts.

You might have a faulty replaced joint or it was damaged during install.

The design was changed with the X202.

The hole in the lower control arm might be damaged so inspect that also.

Are you installing the right one?
Do you know the ball joint was changed in 2002 from 14mm to 16mm?

Which one does your car need and which one are you installing?

Mine undid after 3 days. Turned out the new ball joint had been hammered home and didn't turn so the nut undid instead. three mech later all of whom tightened it again I pulled it out and found it was seized. I used the right G clamp to push it in and now ok.

Since it has come loose a couple of times be sure and inspect the lower control arm. You might need to replace it as Bob suggested.

My lower arm hole was ok. Not tapered in this model 2000. No elongation etc. Has been fine for 8 months now. I still have a front end rattle that seems to be from the steering rack but I cant budge it by hand / lever. So I keep driving....

Change the front sway bar end links and/or the sway bar bushings. By far the most common problem.

I quit using aftermarket ball joints as they kept loosening even double nutted. Was driving my gf nutz litterally. I just replaced the verticle link assembly with new bjoints in from partgeek and that was the last time i had issue. Anybody what some b joints cheap? I have four lowers
