Ok, heres an easy one for you Jaguar gurus. I have a code which says my O2 sensor (Bank 1 sensor 2) is faulty. I know sensor 2 is the 2nd or down stream sensor, but whick side of the engine is Bank 1? Driver or Passenger? By the way, its an 03 STR. Not purring as well as she used to, and I need to quickly fix that. Thanks.

Bank 1 is on the right. That's driver side here. Don't know where you are. Doesn't matter, it's on the right. In the same sense (as are ALL directions on a car) as RHD / LHD.
BTW, picture in Vehicle Specs PDF in the FAQs![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
However, the #2 sensors are really only used for fine trimming of fuel. Have you no other codes and no issues?

Thanks for your reply. No, no other codes or issues. The car just doesnt seem to accelerate that well right now. Especially during part throttle acceleration. Spark doesnt seem to advance the way it used to around 2500 rpm or so. There used to be a pretty good part throttle surge, say in second gear accelerating from 2000 or 2500 rpm, giving you a nice push back into the seat. Not as pronounced right now. Hope the O2 sensor repairs this issue.
