I'm 1001% sure is reading the VSS only real way to disable it is a software change I'm game to cook a nav disk and disable the vss logic to grey out the buttons.

I just bought a second set of CDs for the Ford (2006 Expedition) Nav system. The one I use all the time was really chewed up by the system and NavTeq wouldn't sell a single disc. I had the unit fixed and bought new discs....which ate up the money for the new version of the Jag navigation disc....durn. Now I have 11/12 of a Ford system that's excess to my needs and a 2 year old Jag disc. Here I come ebay....

+ 100000000000000000, I have the 09 version and bottom line is, factory NAV sucks. I use my Tom Tom on road trips.
