as a jaguar tech I have had may battery drain faults with s type. 2 most common is the duo valve in the heating system also if your alarm is going off there is a wire that runs from the fuse box on the left hand side to the front electronics module that powers part of that module. the wire runs behind the front bumper. if that wire looses some or all of its 12v the car will think it is being stolen and wake a lot of they systems up. sometimes this will set the alarm up. check the powers and grounds to the fem and if you find any faults don't look for them on the wire as you will never find them the wire is far to long. just run a new wire from the fuse box to the fem. i can honestly say that 99% of battery drains and alarms going off are caused by this fault

to get to the gems you need to remove the right hand boot carpet and remove the black panel that you can see the module is bolted to the back of there. also the primary fuse box is in the right hand footwell. remove the trim and you will see it.
