A beautiful car indeed
So, my wife takes the car to the hair salon where they use valet parking and drops the car off. When she comes out to leave the car-guys some rushing over to her to gush all about how beautiful and fabulous the car is and how they couldn't believe how fantastic it was.
The parking lot was, otherwise, full of BMWs, and Mercs.... :-)

My S-Type turns about 75% of heads that see it...Maybe because I live in an area where there isn't no jags besides mine and an x-type an elderly lady drives...I've came front to front with her at a stop a couple of times and she turns her head as well LOL...There is hardly any BMW's in town and no merc..that I've seen...I get all kinds of compliments all the time from strangers...I think it's a beautiful car, if mine ever has a MAJOR issue where it fails, I'm going to purchase another, this time a supercharged !

Actually the 2008 S-Type (non-R) is a bit unique in its looks compared to earlier S-Types. The 2008 carries the more aggressive front fascia (previously only on the R), plus the Vulcan alloy wheels (previously only on the R), albeit in the non-staggered configuration. Finally, the last 750 S-Types were the "Satin Edition" with mahogany dash and every interior option on the Jaguar parts shelves. Even with a geezer like me behind the wheel, this S-Type has gotten unexpected public responses.

Yup, that's what mine is. See the picture I posted back up a couple of entries. Not only did they get the Vulcan wheels but chrome side mirrors, too.

>2011 JCNA Nat'l Champ in D-11
Oh, the picture of my S-Type is on its way into a JCNA concours where it would win first place in its Champion class, only to have the award rescinded when they realized that it had chrome wheels and since no Jaguar ever came with chrome wheels that they were not original so I lost 20 points (out of 100) and pushed me out of first place.
The car was actually delivered with those wheels. It's just that the original dealer (located in LA...) decided to "bling" the car before handing it over to the new owner
