That'd be nice, but you would have to have custom hats made and do a two-piece rotor, if you can get the hats done for a reasonable cost, you would open a HUGE amount of aftermarket rotor possibilities.

A talented machine shop could make up the hats....but a to have a small amount made would likely be cost-prohibitive.

I've briefly looked into the two piece rotor options. From a cost perspective, its not bad and the break even point is two or three sets of rotors. The first disk + hat is more expensive then the stock rotors but the replacement disks are much less. If you replace the rotors three times or more, it actually gets cheaper. Assuming that the 1st OEM set lasted about 25k miles, you need to keep the car for about 75K miles or in my case, 12 years to realize a saving. Due to the long time, it may make sense to order the replacment disks at the same time which up front cost.

The main draw back is that the racing rotors are uncoated steel so the non-worn areas will have a light rust coating that some people may care about (not some much of an issue in So. Cal.). The other draw back is that you need to send them a sample rotor for them to make measurements (they haven't done a S-type R hat yet).

On the other hand, if there is enough interest here for a larger volume custom "group buy", the per set cost may be much more reasonable. I think the cost is mostly driven by the NRE cost in designing the hats. On a similar note, brakeperformance makes custom rotors to order and their price is similar to the OEM list but adds cross drilled or slotted features. It may be possible to work out a group buy with them if there is enough interest. I know I am up for a new set of rotors now.

I would throw my hat into the ring for a set of hats and 2 sets of rotors. As far as the light rust...nothing that a coat of high temp paint on the surface wouldn't offset, no worries about getting it on the face of the rotor, the first time you apply the brakes it's going to scrape off.

Default 2 Piece rotors

I have been looking into this recently. Can anyone tell me what companies they have gone to for quotes? More importantly can anyone find rotor replacements for a 2 piece that fit a 2003 brembo?

^^^ He's asking for two-piece rotors, which I don't think anyone offers for the stock brembo setup, maybe some bling-bling BBK is out there for the Jag I'm not aware of that offers two-piece rotors in the setup...
