My experience in the San Diego area, tells me that the first thing a Jaguar car owner should do is stay away from the dealership service bays. They are crooks and also surprisingly incompetent.
Even though the dealership charges 50% more than 3rd party service places like Meineke, they do not appear to know anything more about the car than the generalists at these 3rd party service places.
Dealership service mechanics seem to be trained to replace parts, whether they fix the car or not.
That should be made illegal, a felony, and targeted by state prosecutors, across the board.
