Hey guys, i just bought my mom an s type this week.2000 with 89K miles. i have driven it for a week and have noticed a problem. at low speeds , the carr drives perfect. When i approachthe 35-40 mph range, i feel that the car starts to sputter , whenipass 40 mph , it starts to drive somewhat normally again , but when i slow down it does the same thing. last night i was driving and when i started accelerating, i noticed the car stayed at 1000 rpm and about 10 mph and would not go up when i accelereated or go down when i parked the car. i turned the car off, restarted it, and it started drving normally again....PLEASE HELP....thanks
ALSO, the failsafe engine mode is on

You might have all kinds of different problems, dont guess, if you cant use a reputable repair shop then go the dealer and have the shop foreman do the diagnsosis, that way you dont spend uneeded money. I recently retired from Jaguar as a Master Tech, now I am in different line of business.
But I am thinking of opening a diagnostic workshop as a hobby in the SoCal area of L.A.
