Default A bittersweet goodbye.

I've just parted company with my 191k mile 2003 ebony STR, it was quite a long journey. Plenty of peaks, a few valleys. Overall one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had from a car. I am sure whomever purchases her will be quite happy.

Thank you STR, you will be missed and never forgotten.

Aww, so sad.

191K may be the highest mileage we've seen?

I replaced it with a 2009 XF Supercharged. So I'm not going anywhere. But seriously that car ran 191,550 miles when I turned it in, I think with a really good service, it will run further!

Our 2002 XKR 100 only has about 63k on the clock but I'm keeping that.

With 191K miles my hat is off to you!!!

I feel unworthy at only 106K on my 2005 STR.

Good choice of replacement.

You are like myself, the Jags are built to be DRIVEN, and when done so, do it without fuss.

Our '76 XJ12 has now topped 500000kms, nd the engine is untouched. Only on its 2nd transmission (BW12)..

ENJOY the new keeper.

187k? That's great! I just used mobil1 full synthetic 10w30 the entire time I had it, and changed the oil at about 7500 mile intervals.

Some people like castrol, I always found it had broken down too much after 3k miles, when I switched to mobil1 I always saw better performance. Just my opinion though:-)

I've been using Total synthetic with no problems.
