I can diagnose the Nav/ACM using my scan tool (not generic OBD) so they sure can too. So... can they see the ACM and if so what happens when they monitor its sensors (all the buttons etc on the satnav etc area, then you press them while monitoring)? If they can't see the ACM, that points the way, and if they can but can't see the sensors then that's another. And if they can see the buttons yet the screen is blank... well, you get the idea.

update on my STR: I brought it to the dealer and the tech who is somewhere on this forum is extremely good with these cars. I believe he removed the unit in back and plugged it into another car to test and then reformatted the software and it is working perfect again. The Jag Dealer in Palm Beach has been very good also.

well I have to give it to you guys! and Tom at Jaguar Louisville! after a bit of searching for the problem and calls back and forth, the culprit was a bad NAV module. total cost $100.00 for deductible per my extended warranty contract. The "diagnostic time" was waived (thanks Tom),and i can only credit that to some outside help....wink wink. well all is good again!! Great forum and great input from knowledgable people!
