Hi all, I have a 2005 Jaguar S-type 3.0 with NavSat integrated ( Denso system). I wanted to update my Nav Maps so I pressed the phone+menu to get into the diagnostic tool and hit the S/W button on the screen menu and then it asked me for a S/W CD but I do not have the updated CD and it would not update or escape sceeen. so I shut the car down and turn it back on. The screen navigation display is now blank and all the functions in the panel are not working (Radio, AC, SatNav). Is there a way to get it back up?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Oh dear! Sadly, that is one way to turn your sat-nav module into a useless paper weight!
The hidden menu is not intended for end user use, it was only ever intended for jaguar service personnel. Pressing the S/W Update button and then the confirmation button will cause it to fail as you do not have the update needed to make it work, in fact I do not think there ever was such a thing. All you need to do to update the maps is to insert the latest DVD.
The newest update on the sat-nav is 2010. You can try a 2010 update DVD, but I do not think it will work now, you can also try using the Jaguar SDD software, but again I do not think it will work.
Unless anyone knows anything different I think you are going to have to get a replacement sat-nav DVD module in the boot/trunk!
But I would love for anyone who knows another work around for this issue to tell us all…

Use Search
e.g.

You'll need a DVD with the software as the many many posts say.
I don't think SDD can do it because you've fully wiped the nav.
