Bluetooth head scratching
2005 S-Type 3.0
I have a Blackberry 8330 which is listed on the Jaguar site as being fully compatible.
When I start the pairing process, both phone and screen respond as they should. After pairing, the phone shows "Connected" and the car shows "No Service".
Sometimes when I switch to "Audio" on the screen and then switch back to the phone, it works.
Sometimes when I dial a number on the screen, it works.
All other times, it shows "No Service"
The phone shows that it is paired and that it is connected.
Any ideas?
Eric

Maybe a dumb question, but where is the phone while you are trying to use Bluetooth?
If I'm not mistaken, the Bluetooth receiver is under the console storage box. Maybe there is something that is interfering with it's ability to receive data. The phone may be able to "see" the receiver but the receiver intermittently is loosing the phone. Try leaving the phone in the console???

When I try to use the phone, it is sitting in the ashtray just forward of the console....maybe 18 inches.
I forgot about the upolstered console. I was using the term to mean the screen in my first message. I've edited it so that it now makes more sense. Thanks.

OK, sounds like the phone is close enough to the receiver. I would try someone else's bluetooth compatible phone and see if you have the same trouble. It may be a problem with the bluetooth module, the phone, or a software issue with the radio. If another phone works fine then I would say it's either your phone or more than likely an issue with the software in the radio.
