Default Bone head turned left infront of me yesterday, killed my other R.

I was going along doing about 50 through the green light and a guy in a 2010 Silverado turned left in front of me at the last second. I walked away from it with only cut, bruises and a nice burn from my air bag.

There was so much force from the accident that the sunroof broke, the plastic around the seat belts broke, the mirror flipped forward, tabs that hold the sun visors broke, and I had a tool bag in the back that tore open and let all the tools through it.

I fell torn up today, but I will survive. Volvo did its thing, seat belt tensionsers fired and the airbags went off.

Glad you're none the worse for wear. Was the other guy charged, and is he fully insured? You never know how these things will eventually turn out so be sure to document, document, document....

I've been here, and done it before. I Know the BS drill. Already went to the Dr. and got checked out.

The other guy was cited.

Glad you're OK. Crashes are what Volvos do best.

Wow! Holy crap Spinnal4, that you're in one piece that matters the most. Get thee to a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) for x-rays and spine reforming spinal adjustments. These docs are the real deal for the musculoskeletal system.

My plan is to buy it back, and then I think I may buy another V70R wagon and sell all the things I don't need (i'm going to get an A/T trans car this time so my wife can drive it) an keep the other parts a spares.

I guess it depends on if they let me buy it back for a reasonably price considering most of the stuff worth anything are ruined.

Sucks that I had just put a new larger intercooler core, silicone intake, all turbo piping and a new BOV on it like 2 months ago.

Wow, all those bucks for mods down the drain...Pity. Rear doors and hatch look ok, as well as wheels, tires, differential, etc. Most of the interior panels, seats, etc. are likely ok and can fetch ya $5000+?

How fast are those things? I sorta looked at the S60R before buying the STR but it was just no contest! Plus the fuel mileage was no better either.

The 2004 Volvo V70 R came with a 300 hp 2.5L 5-banger. 0-60 = 6.03 seconds and a 14.4 1/4 mile.
