Default Brake Line Failure

Hi,

I have no brakes due to broken brake line. I am getting the vehicle towed, right now the Electronic Park Brake is on...When I start car and put in Neutral, will the Park Brake Release? It will be towed on flat bed...The S-type has no brakes at all, so want to get it to the repair shop safely as possible? What's the best procedure for this car with the electronic park brake? Thank You.

Chock the wheels. With ignition on, put transmission in neutral. Touch brake pedal, and push EPB paddle downwards. EPB will release.

Of course you'll have to push the brake pedal to select neutral also but no need to start the engine.

And if you want EPB to remain disengaged, keep the park brake paddle depressed until after you extract the key.
