Chime in if you've gotten 72K miles (or more) on your OEM rotors
I replaced the front and rear OEM brake pads with Akebono premium euro ceramic pads at ~22K miles and liked them since day one. I now have 72K miles on my car's original OEM rotors and 50K on these brake pads. They have been amazing so far!
Akebono's sales pitch has been right on.

From all of the reviews of the Akebono, I just recently purchased them from RockAuto AKEBONO Part # ACT805 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad FRONT - ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad. They were about $55 plus I bought some slotted and drilled rotors. Hopefully I will get them put on shortly. I was told that the stock rotors are pretty soft and they typically need of replacement, so I bought some, hopefully which will give some nice power to braking with this heavy car.
