Broke two wheels on wife's 06, ouch!
Coming down Interstate off ramp in the dark ran over something with two bangs, and instant flat tire bumping, pulled off into the grass. Got out and saw right front tire was flat, went back to see what I hit, found a reese tow hitch 3 ball insert at side of road, must have just fallen off a truck. Drove it around the corner to a gas station, it was making a double clunk as I was driving, crap what else?
Got to gas station and saw the back tire was also flat, couldn't see any tire damage but figured they had holes in them. Good thing I had towing on insurance, got it to my house and next morning jacked it up to find both wheels had big dents with holes, rear tire had a hole in it, the dents were rubbing the calipers making the thumps. Started looking for new(used) wheels, didn't find any stock ones like my multi spokes but a scrap yard had a set of 17" Lincoln LS wheels, they turned out pretty decent for $175, just waiting on a new tire to arrive.

On the bright side, you got to keep the hitch insert. Those are $28 on Amazon. So you're really only out $147
