Thanks Brutal I knew it. My neighbor is a tech for BMW and I asked him for some oil as our cars use the same tranny, but he insists that i get him a part # and the name if possible. He knows that they use they same tranny, he thinks that they use different gears which would mean different oil weights.

Brutual one more favor, can you give me the name of the oil please?

 

ITS JUST SAYS JAGUAR MINERAL OIL, BUT ITS THE SAME.....BMW, MERCEDES, JAG, I THINK HYUNDAI IS EVEN USING THE SAME TRANS IN THEIR NEW V8 POWER SUV. JUST LIKE JATCO TRANS IN THE XTYPE IS SAME AS LEXUS USES

HEY,Brutal do you do tuneups on 2000 S Type 3.0, I live in La Porte TX. I have tried other mecs but not happy!! My wife loves this car but form 20 mpg to 12 on last work done not happy, I was told it had vac leak & needed gaskets replaced 550 later not happy, The car has 108000 on her but in good shape Please advise

 

I'm not sure he does tunes but he'll do "tune ups" and more importantly he can probably fix it

If he can't, be afraid!!
