Sorry, I went off topic. K&N in the stock airbox is better than the Mina CAI (unless you mod the Mina one)

 

Don't fret Glockjag - what you bought is what we've been discussing - a K&N for the stock airbox.

The merits/demerits of the Mina kit are for another thread, probably half a dozen other threads out there really.


So just slap that filter you bought in your STR and you're good to go. You're not losing any performance vs. the Mina kit with your setup. To realize advantages of a more open Mina filter you'd need to do a lot more mods (such as what Michael has done). And even then you may not really see much.
