Very good advice given here guys, good luck to the OP on his first car. You've got instant support when you do.
Be patient, don't jump on the first s-type you find. There are a lot of them out there and you can afford to be selective when the market is flooded with 2000-2002s.
PS, avoid the 2000, get an 01 or 02 if you must.

is it better to get 2001, 2002 or 2003?
