Looks good, but I'm not 100% certain.

You do know that you must go to the dealer for programming?

I actually bought a replacement key from ebay as well a few months ago. I am pretty sure this key will be compatible. Best bet is to probably ask the seller upfront before buying it just to make sure.

But as mentioned by Norri, the key and the remote can only be programmed by the dealer. I went to a couple of locksmiths to see if they can do it, but they all said the same thing: "Go to your local dealer."

I think you can program the remote yourself on the X-type though...

Be sure to take every key along for reprogramming as first step deletes all keys.

That is a blank uncut key. When I got mine the dealer didn't have the machine to cut these. They ordered me one already cut by using the VIN# and proof of ownership. You may want to see if you will be able to get it cut before you bu it. Cutting it isn't the same as programing. I bought the cut key from Jag dealer and the remote on ebay then had the dealer program everything.

The dealer I went to was able to cut my spare key on site. The only thing was that they cut it as if it were a "loaner key". Not sure if it requires a separate machine to cut it that way or if they made an accident. I didn't want to complain cause they offered to do mine free of charge since I was a frequent customer.
