Have you checked to see if the comp has any oil in it before you fit it ? it sounds like its siezing inside and causing the a/c clutch to drag. Could also be the wrong oil....not sure which pag it needs to be. Cant see that spinning too fast would cause probs [assuming the car is standard]
Who's doing the gas filling.............if its a bottle from the autostore there's probably not enough oil in it to keep it all lubed or it may be the wrong grade.
The stuff from stores is ok to top up but not for filling an empty system.when the system is opened to the air it needs to be vacuumed and preferably flushed with oxygen free nitrogen which will remove all the moisture from opening it up. Moisture in the system will cause all sorts of deep grief............not really an answer but what do you expect from an ex air con engineer. Maybe it would be worth getting a qualified a/c guy to do the oil filling ,vacuum and test and regas.
My offsite mail is neilb659@aol.com if it is of any help..but if you just fit a new comp without vaccing the system its just a recipe for a load of trouble. You nmay have bits in the system which will keep wrecking any comp you fit. It may be sensible to fit a new a/c filter [ther is one in the system]
I remind you of Einstien.............Lunacy...doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results
Get an a/c guy to fit a new filter, if he knows what he's doing he will then triple vac the system, 30 min vac,20 miin and then 10 and then refill with134a and the right amount of oil.......then you have done just about everything you can do to eliminate any faults..............dont for get to check the comp for oil.
Regards Neil
