I will always argue that displacement trumps forced induction. Wanna know why?
1. Superchargers are prone to detonation.
2. Turbochargers wear out and require more maintenance (turbo timers, etc).
3. A well built, strong N/A will outlast an engine onto which you bolt on forced induction. Want proof? Go to www.audizine.com and ask them how often the K03 and K04 have to be rebuilt.
Tires are the only reason that I am not going into the 9s in my car and can guarantee you that I will take you at the track.

Viper 1/4 = about 12.2 and your magnificent Dart with a 340 does it in 11. Fantastic. (Looked it up online)

Yeah I totally agree.. 11s are hard to reach, but it depends on what the car was built for as well.. Power to weight ratio and gear ratios are all the only things that matter with a 1/4 mile car.. Ferraris and Vipers have the gearing to cruise at 150mph and they have the weight and weight distribution to push them around a track as well.. Vipers for example have 3:01 gears in their dana 44 and his dart could have 4:10s... His dart may top out at 120mph with 4:10s or even less, but thats still fast enough to get you into the 11s .. Also power to weight is a BIG deal... A stock srt10 Viper weighs about 3600 lbs and a stock Dart weighs around 2800 and a Ferrari 360 about 3100, with some work you can easily get the dart down to around 2500.. So if he could squeeze 400 to 500 hp out of his dart.. with the proper transmission, rearend, tires, cam, and either a trans break or spray 10s! are not unreasonable...
Ferraris and Vipers were built for handling... well at least the Ferrari was.. They have leather, a/c, sound deadening, 10 speaker stereos, gps, spare tires, all that stuff that most people expect to find in a new car.. A Dart fully loaded came with a seat belts, windows, and a 3 speaker stereo if you were lucky..
A ferrari drives like its on rails.. A dart like its on ice covered with vegtable oil.. They are made for different purposes, but if you want to go fast for a quarter mile, ones more capable than the other.. THE DART
As for bikes, (and apples to oranges) I met a guy last week that was trying to sell me his GSXR1000 with a gt28 turbo that made 295hp on motor and had a 150 shot and a 50 shot of no2 and ran an 8.40 in the 1/4 at 168mph out the back door... YEAH, its wicked fast.. BUT when you crash a car you might walk away.

Even with 4.10 gears I doubt that you would get into the 11s without a huge amount of work on that 340. You would need to step way up on the gears which would be offset by the Hoosiers that you are going to need. So many things to consider- transmission & rear-end rations plus tire diameter.
My Vette has a Rodek 502 with a 4.10 rear and does 11s with 425HP. Handles like crap and is death on four wheels if I crash it.
I've owned a lot of bikes and have the scars to prove it. Keeping the front end down and the read hooked up on a 9s dash through the 1/4 mile requires skill and a good set of tires.....

and on the turbo issue i was going to say the transmission from 00-02 are not nearly as sharp nor as strong as the ZF 03 n up used in s type r's so if you add the turbo be ready for a new trans. but i think everyone is well past the turbo issues lol
