Default Can anyone answer my questions?? About my s type

HELLO GUYS, I HAVE A FEW ISSUES WITH MY S TYPE. IT HAS 87K MILES AND IS IN MINT CONDITION. fIRST PROBLEM IS THE ENGINE HAS A MISFIRE. WHEN I START IT, IT RUNS FINE, AFTER I DRIVE FOR A WHILE AND IT COMES TO A STOP AT A LIGHT OR INTERSECTION IT STARTS TO MIS. IF I SHUT IF OFF AND START IT RIGHT BACK UP THE MISSING IS GONE UNTIL I COME TO A STOP AGAIN. I CHANGED ALL COILS. SAME DEAL. PLEASE ADVICE. SECOND ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE IT TAKES ABOUT 20 SECONDS BEFORE IT ENGAGES, AND IF I HIT THE GAS TO HARD IT SEEMS THAT IT JUMPS OUT OF GEAR. ANY ADVICE? MY THIRD ISSUE IS THE CLIMATE CONTROL. ITS STUCK ON THE COLD SIDE. EVEN IF I PUT THE TEMP AT 85 DEGREES THE AC IS STILL ON AND ITS COLD. CAN IT BE A DOOR STUCK SOMEWHERE? PLEASE HELP MEEEEE!!!

no sorry, no codes. just that cylinder 2 and 4 are missing, i moved around coils, but no change.

There will always be a minimum of one code. Either P1000 if diagnostic tests have not been completed or P1111 if they have been completed.

By 'no codes', does that mean you haven't had the codes read?

Maybe your fuel injectors néed to be cleaned.Run some good injector cleaner for a few tankfuls of the best gasoline, The trans is a ford and the fluid should have been changed at least along with the filter and gasket. The shift cable might be loose. Or a valve in the tranny has a broken spring. The AC thing ??? Do a search on this forum for other advice and people who have had the same problems. And take it easy on the old thing. I have the same car.

Check the fuel injector connections to the injectors for cyl 2 and 4 - are you sure you have the correct cylinders identified? (Cyl 2 - second cylinder - from front - passenger side and last cylinder - from front - passenger side)

These 2 issues seem to be common..not just I read about them but I 'm starting to notice them on my 2001 s type 4.0..I'll try to find time next month or so to have them fixed and post the results
