I got a 2001 Jaguar S-Type 4.0 and the engine light came on. The code is a P0125 (Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control). Can someone tell me how i might be able to fix this problem? what can this be and what does it mean? I'm thinking about changing the engine coolant temperature sensor might fix this problem. Can anyone help please. thanks

Just remember you have a 9 year old car. There will be issues as it ages. I got my '01 XKR when it was 6 years old and spent the first year sorting out the issues and now I have a very reliable car. Previously owned vehicles are usually on the market because the owner has started experiencing age related issues and is replacing it. Also note that the owner that is considering replacing it is not going to put a lot of money into it prior to replacing it. This is true for any used car, not just a Jaguar. When buying a used car, try to buy the best you can, but expect to have to sort out a few problems at first.
