Thank you, Sir!

Very interesting, the suspense was killing me, but at least she's back on the road!

You were right, ECM was okay.😊

Sounds crazy, but it cranks over easily now. Prior to this fix, the starter sounded weak, even with a fully charged battery.

Default Me Too

I am having the exact same problems with an '05 3.0 S type. Everyone says the stick is in Park but the trans is in Reverse. or thinks it is...Stick won't move-car won't start.

Oh, and it's 72 degrees and sunny

May be the 2 bolts on the trans side that hold the shifter cable are loose/missing.

Jimmy, Wow my car also has a recent ding on the right front. Scraped from right front blinker to wheel well. Just a scrape. Do you think that could create the problem you had?

Where are these bolts? under car or on shifter in car?

No. My car ( long before I owned it), got hit in the front pretty bad, there is a slight ripple in the firewall, and the radiator support looks to be replaced as there are non factory spot welds.

With the above being said, I would not worry about it if your car only got hit as you described. My car was hit worse.
