LOL! I know where I'd be - in my Jag driving just about everywhere. We may not see CarSmartNot for weeks!

He'll be seen at gas stations (that have restrooms) and the drive-thru windows at (very) fast food places...

OMG, are we thinking CarSmartNot actually pulled the trigger on an S-Type? I wonder if it's a V6 or V8? Could explain why there haven't been hundreds of posts today...

While I would be happy for him to finally obtain what seems to be the car of his dreams if he indeed pulled the trigger, the financial analyst in me is concerned that he's going to throw most of his limited funds away on grills, chrome, rims, audio/video, fuzzy dice, and all the other superfluous crap that kids waste their money on instead of saving his bucks for the inevitable maintenance that a car like this requires. I guess we'll find out for sure if he's on here begging for sources that sell $15 coils and $30 water pumps....

Rick, you called CSN out a couple days ago and no one has heard from him. I'm thinking he got a V8 and ended up in trouble. I hope he's not hurt.

I wasn't "calling" him out. I am excited that he finally found the S of his dreams! I surely hope that he did not introduce himself or his ride to a premature desmise.

I'm not sure where CSN is located, but in lots of areas (especially the midwest) the weather hasn't been real conducive to driving a new car off the lot.

He is in Canada. He asked me some questions about my S-Type as well. I guess he's real busy with his new ride.

You made the plunge! Good work! $750/month is pretty steep for car insurance, hopefully you can shop around and get a better price than that.

I'm pretty new to the forums here, so I'm not privy to any past issues, but it's too bad you're leaving. Looks like there are a lot of decent people on here ready and able to assist with any Jag issues. If you decide to stay, let's see your ride and talk about things we love - Jaguars. If not, good luck with your car. I hope you love yours as much as I do mine!

Remember - rubber side goes down!

Hold the phone CSN. We ALL here have answered your questions throughout the past monthes. I believe that I have read every thread that you have started and have replied too. I don't think that anything I have read was meant to be judgmental. Sure there has been some poking of fun here and there, but that happens to everyone that sticks around here for awhile, its all about starting "friendships" albeit cyber but still friendships. That is what makes this site so great! If you have been offended in any of my responses, I sincerely appologize they were not meant to be hurtful. I wish you would reconsider your exit.
Plus I still would love to see some pics of your new baby!!
peace

Hey, I'd love to comment on your new ride but you deleted your post.? Based on Rick's post I'd have to think that we peeved you off. Well, in case you haven't figured out, we take our little community pretty seriously. Yes, it is a cyber forum but it is also a way to talk to other passionate owners around the world. In defense of this thread, and please forgive me for being blunt, we simply wanted to see that you really did get one after all the "work" we've done to help. I personally have looked up cars in the US and Canada only to have you slam my research claiming you can get one cheaper. So, after all the drama, you have to understand that some of us are a bit skeptical. That said, other ribbing on here is normal. I recall Jon89 bashing me over a discussion on low profile tires. That goes way back. There are people that have differing opinions and enjoy their cars in different ways. My point. Jon89 is someone that I have had differing opinions with yet I would not hesitate to crawl under his car with him to try and fix it. That is how this forum works. So, that said, please post up some pics and let us know about your ride. I do sincerely hope you did actually get the grey V8. It looked like a really nice ride.

BTW: Another post on here states insurance at 750/month...There is no way an insurance company would charge 9000.00 a year. I have points and Jenn has an accident and we pay 2400 per year. Now, 750/6 months is probably about right for an 18 year old with a jag. Then again I could be wrong..Won't be the first time and I'm sure it won't be the last.

The deleted post actually thanked Jon, Jeff and myself for the help. Then went on a tangent on how know one knows him. Renaming the above people and others (I didn't quite get that part). He listens to Bach and Beethoven and reads Teslas books every night among other "mature things". It really went nowhere... Other to say "have a nice life"
