Default Catalytic Converter

Tryingto replacemy driver side one. Running a P0430 code. Look for a replacement. I took it in and the o2 senosrs are good.

there are alot of threads on this topic. Need more info, like yr and engine size. What most do is cut off the old cats and have new magnaflow high flow cats welded in. I am actually having this done in the morning. The cats run 79.00 a piece. This will make the engine run better.

Default Back in business...

One new cat (passenger side), two new O2 sensors, one vacuum hose replaced (hole in it) and I am ridin' again!

my car is a 2001 s-type 3.0. so i have been looking for a new cat i found one at calconverters.com. wondering if they are anygood or not. thing is i had them check it a ship did tests pre and post 02 sensors work cat is bad. i went out of town for two weeks and drove my car for the first time today engine light is off. what should i do replace the cat anyways or f@#$ it.

You have done this on a 4.2 L? 80.00 dollar cats?
