Default Cats

Hey all,

I think I have CATS suspension. I checked under the bonnet and there is some wires/connectors coming out of both sides of the top mounts.

Question is how do I know if it is working?

You get errors if it's not. Search here or read JTIS.

As JagV8 mentioned - "no news is good news" regarding CATS suspension. As soon as the ECM identifies a fault - you will see "CATS Fault" in the driver's information screen on your dashboard.

When the CATS are not working or receiving power they are in the full hard position. Kind of like the average guy!!

So does the car ride nice at slow speeds? That's where you will notice them not switching. Some guys like that feel and unplug them to stop them from switching to the soft position.

Sounds like they are working. One thing to check for is oil leaks. It's normal at this age that the tube be a bit oily but you should not have any drips of oil.

It seems like the seals slowly seep as they age.
