Default Changing plugs and coils on a 3.0 V-6

I have a couple of random misfire codes on my 2003 S-type with a 3.0 V6. Looks like I need to change the plugs and coils, right? (105,000 miles) Can anybody tell me what I need to buy to complete the job? Don't I need to remove the intake to access the plugs and coils? Will I need intake gaskets? Any others? Where's the best place to buy the parts? I was thinking www.rockauto.com. Which coil packs to buy? They list a bunch of 'em.

Thanks in advance!

I am doing this, this weekend. I found the best place to buy was Rock Auto. Below are the parts that I bought for my Jag:

Spark Plugs (Iridium) x6
Ignition coils x 6 (part # uf435). <=== you don't have to buy this one, but make sure it is 4 wire plug.
Upper intake Gasket - Fel-Pro MS96494
Lower intake Gasket - Fel-Pro MS96485
Fuel filter - Fram G8018 (if you have never done so)

Also,

IMT O-Rings

Also see this thread for additional info:

Hope this helps.

I would purchase a set of valve cover gaskets as well, you will thank me later!.
If you do not use them just return them (maybe go local on those).

BTW I recognise that link

Thanks for the responses guys. I didn't want to get half way through the job only to find out I was missing a gasket or something I needed.

Quick question............what are the IMT o-rings? Where do they go?

Thanks in advance!

www.rockauto.com only lists the lower intake manifold gaskets. Are the upper intake manifold gaskets called something else? Anybody have another source besides Jaguar?

Thanks.

Never mind. I see the upper gaskets are called the PLENUM gasket and are listed in the air/fuel section, not the engine section on the rock auto website.

Just completed IMT O-Ring, upper intake gasket (Fel-Pro MS96494), lower intake gasket (Fel-Pro MS96485) and spark plug (Bosch 4Plus) replacements on a 03 S-type; the information provided in this thread was invaluable.

Jag is purring like a kitten...best part is that there is no more oil leak from the flat IMT O-Rings. I have a K&N air filter coming in the mail and that should round out my tune up and repair job. In total I replaced a shot rear hub bearing, both sides of my front upper and lower ball joints, put new Michelin Pilot MXM4s, and the other items I previously mentioned.
